Music Ministry

    Examples of our Music Ministry include:

• Evangelistic concerts in established churches and church plants

• Music directors/accompanists in Sofia Baptist Church

• Judy leads children's choirs, writes and prepares Christmas and Easter programs

• Piano lessons to young students

• Paying for piano lessons to young students in churches outside Sofia

• Purchasing and loaning violins to prospective students

• Music classes for potential music leaders from churches outside Sofia

• Teaching course in church music and worship in seminary

• Music workshops

• Arranging music for choirs, instrumental ensemble, family concerts

• Paul led the committee that edited 365 songs for the Bulgarian Baptist Hymnal, the first since before Communism and the first ever Bulgarian Baptist Hymnal to include both music and text (previous editions had contained only text and referenced other hymn books for music).  This hymnal is now being used as the basis for the Evangelical Hymnal.

• Coordinate and provide music for Baptist Union events

• Directed choir of professional musicians from various evangelical churches

• Sponsored, organized, and conducted two concerts in Bulgaria Hall, the most prestigious concert hall in the country.  The concerts--one in May '05 and one in December '05--were accompanied by full orchestra and included solos, songs by a mass choir of all the evangelical denominations in Sofia (and a few from Plovdiv) and a chamber ensemble.
